Communication and collaboration is key to all projects but none more than this. With a 12 week programme from “grey Box” to PC all areas of this project were workshopped. From All Hands Joinery meeting with Sub-Contractors, Design team and installers on board, to Product selection / Touch and Feel meeting with client staff this allowed all submittal sign off and gave the client a full understanding of all aspects of theproject prior to completion. The Central Breakout Area, Canteen & Town Hall and GamesRoom are directly tied to the open plan areas and entrance lobby and were located in an area that not only gives a high visual impact to staff and visitors but to also remain visible from nearly all open plan areas. With exposed Red Ceilings, broken up with suspended grey Autex and with high acoustically rated double glazed partition this left the space acoustically sealed yet highly visual not only adding to the design impact of the space but the feel of this area being a primary function of the floor plate and not just a necessary requirement. With a heavily population ceiling voids the M&E coordination was imperative. To maintain ceiling heights and yet still incorporate full HVAC, Sprinklers, Voice Evac System and all electrical install the team was tasked forming a Coordination Team between all parties to plan, produce drawings from sign off and implement the install all within the first 2 weeks of the project. 3D Models and CGI were developed to give the client a full understanding of how the high impact spaces would look and feel and thus speeding up the sign off and delivery time.
